VPIRG, Vermont’s largest environmental and consumer advocacy group, is looking for an individual with a great head for numbers and diligence to process data, prepare reports, reconcile financial information, prepare daily deposits, and sync multiple data systems from our extensive grassroots fundraising and campaign operation. Job Summary: The Data and Finance Coordinator (DFC) specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Producing daily and weekly canvass reports
  • Processing the daily canvass deposit
  • Entering new sustainers, bump-ups, and manual credit card gifts into EveryAction
  • Flagging sustainers that do not run for immediate follow-up
  • Coordinating driver eligibility, insurance, personal car availability, mileage, and reimbursement
  • Collect and organize Amex receipts, and other non-mileage reimbursement requests.
  • Providing administrative, training, and logistical support as needed,

Employment Details:

This part-time seasonal position is based out of VPIRG’s Burlington office located in the Old North End at 294 N. Winooski Ave. The DFC must be able to work Tuesday-Friday mornings to process data from the previous evening’s canvass. Otherwise, schedule is flexible, and hours will increase, or decrease based on the workload. Minimum hours 8/week; maximum hours 30/week. The start date is flexible based on candidate availability, ideally with training and some hours beginning in early-May. The canvass operation and this position is scheduled to end Friday, August 22, but an earlier date could be arranged if needed. This position pays $17.50/hour.

Qualifications: Obsessive attention to detail and aptitude for office systems; demonstrated experience handling money; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
