Camping at Fort Dummer in Brattleboro to canvass in Windham County is an age-old tradition for the VPIRG summer canvass (see the full office sending off our canvass day in 2019 in the featured photo on the left).
This week, although we won’t be able to pull off our office-wide trip down south, a group of us will still be biking around, knocking on doors, and getting Vermonters involved in our campaign to finally modernize Vermont’s Bottle Bill – the most effective recycling program we’ve got. Thanks to a groundswell of grassroots support this summer we have a once-in-a-generation chance to update the bottle bill next legislative session! We still need every bit of help we can get, so click here to learn more about this important campaign and how you can support it.
We’re so grateful to be able to reconnect with our members and supporters and to let new folks know about the great work we do here at VPIRG. We’re thrilled to be once again at Vermonters’ doorsteps for the first time since the summer of 2019, and to be able to camp at our beautiful state parks once again.
We’ll see you down there!
