The Vermont House and Senate need more climate champions. Could you be one?
As the only state in New England to experience a rise in greenhouse gas pollution since 1990 and the state with the highest per capita emissions, it’s clear that Vermont is moving in the wrong direction. In order to get back on track, we need more pro-climate leaders in Montpelier.
With that in mind, we’ve partnered with our friends at Vermont Conservation Voters (VCV) to help climate champions get started.
This one-hour introductory webinar is intended for pro-climate Vermonters who are curious about running for office for the first time. In it, we cover the basics of who, what, where, when, why & how. You’ll leave with helpful resources for writing a campaign plan, crafting a winning message and getting started on fundraising.
The webinar is free and non-partisan, but designed specifically for potential candidates interested in acting on climate in order to strengthen the economy, promote equity and protect our environment.
